Christmas cake and mulled spices with plums and cedar in the background. Mouth is round and soft with dark fruit, pencil shavings and cola rounding out the long finish.
Suggested Pairing: Braised rabbit pappardelle with pecorino
It exudes a lovely floral and wild red berry perfume in a most delicate and fragrant style, with silky, fine-grained palate to match. Acids are succulent and bright and tannins are feather-light but taut and structural enough to hold things in place.
Tasted June 2017. Score: 91 Points John Szabo, winealign.com
